Hayley Williams Urges Tourists To Stay Out Of Nashville Amid COVID-19 Spike

Hayley Williams has urged tourists to avoid visiting her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, due to concerns about spiking coronavirus cases.

The Paramore lead singer made the call in a series of videos posted on Instagram on Monday.

“Please don’t come to Nashville. Plan your bachelorette party somewhere else this time,” Williams said, referring to the Tennessee city’s unabated party culture. “The numbers are skyrocketing pretty much everywhere; Nashville is no different.”

“Our people are dying, our local businesses are suffering — so many businesses that make our town special and made it enticing in the first place,” she added. “Tourists, people from out of town, are coming in and crawling up and down Broadway taking shots to terrible music. I just don’t understand what the governor or the mayor is doing.”

“If you really believe in Nashville, don’t come here until this sh*t is handled,” Williams said.

COVID-19 cases are on the rise in Nashville, aided by the city’s continued status as a top bachelorette destination and the government’s unwillingness to enforce health regulations.
