Hilary Duff is right there with all of the fans of her beloved character Lizzie McGuire!
During a new interview, the How I Met Your Father star opened up about the possibility of a reboot of the Disney Channel series still happening.
If you recall, a reboot was originally ordered for Disney+, but after filming only two episodes, execs weren’t necessarily liking the direction of the show, original creator Terri Minsky left the project and it eventually got put on indefinite hold.

Since then, in December 2020, Hilary shared that it was officially cancelled and was no longer happening. She’s even teased what could have been on the reboot.
This week, Hilary was asked about Lizzie McGuire during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
Host Andy Cohen asked, from a fan, if a reboot could live up to her vision, would she move forward with it, and she replied, “Of course!” which was met with lots of cheers.
“Disney+ was very new,” she said about what happened. “And I think they were figuring out their… and we were figuring out our… And so, I’m optimistic.”
Terri Minsky has said that maybe the reboot should move to Hulu (where Hilary currently stars in HIMYF), and Hilary also echoed that idea.
