Holly Willoughby was missing from the ITV summer party, the annual event that celebrates the channel and all its staff.
The lavish shindig, which features free-flowing drinks, canapés and music to keep everyone entertained, is a star-studded affair packed with all the biggest and brightest stars from the channel's biggest shows.
But while a number of ITV stars were in attendance at the 2023 party on Wednesday 19 July, and celebrating another year at the UK's most successful terrestrial channel, Holly was noticeably absent due to being away on another family holiday in Portugal.
Stepping back from the lime-light for a low-key holiday soaking up the sun, the star was spotted taking a stroll through the town in the Algarve, as she donned a stylish floaty white and yellow blouse and ripped denim shorts.
With her signature blonde bob on display, Holly opted for a pair of oversized sunglasses as she headed past a cafe, finishing her look with a pair of tan leather sandals and her phone in hand.
It comes amid rumours that the 42 year old broadcast presenter has decided to slip out quietly from her role hosting This Morning.
After presenting the show for 13 and a half years alongside disgraced star Phillip Schofield, who agreed to step down earlier this year amid admitting that he'd had an "unwise but not illegal" affair with a much-younger colleague, Holly's decision over whether to return is said to be up in the air.
Every year, the programme's regular presenters head off for their summer break, but it is normally always announced, and the stars even say goodbye to viewers for the holidays.
This time though, mum-of-three Holly, who shares children Harry, 14, Belle, 12, and Chester, eight, with her husband Dan Baldwin, 48, chose not to announce her absence, leading many viewers to believe she wouldn't be coming back.
The star simply ended her last appearance before the holidays with a "see you, bye," to viewers instead.
The star has faced enormous backlash ever since 61 year old Phillip departed from This Morning, and there have been constant rumours she would be following suit.
A source has now told OK! in an exclusive interview that Holly is poised to think about her "future" but her children and husband, who sadly lost his mother Sandra recently, are her priority.
“She appreciates her family more than ever right now and she’s planning to take the summer to be a full-time mum," the insider revealed.
"The last couple of months have been really stressful and it’s highlighted for her the importance of family.
“She and Dan are closer than ever – he provided her with so much support following Phillip’s departure, and she was able to be there for him after his mother died," the source continued.
"It sounds strange, but the devastating year they’ve had has brought their family together.
“She will be thinking about the future and making sure her family is her priority," they added.
