Actress Demi Harman has announced the arrival of her first child with husband Andrew Brooks.

The Home and Away star shared the exciting news in a joint post on Instagram with her TV producer husband.

They both shared a black and white photograph of the newborn boy and also revealed his name.

The 30-year-old new mum said: "Meet Beau Thomas Brooks! Coming in at 9lbs13.5oz, 21.5 inches tall.

"So far he loves his snoo, his hair being brushed and farting when everyone least expects it, he is his parents child.. We are in SO much love!"

Fans, friends and family have rushed to congratulate the couple on their new arrival.

Modern Family actor Rico Rodriguez wrote: "OMGGGGG! Baby Brooks is here"

Actor and producer David Del Rio commented: "Demi! Andrew! Beau! What a family! Welcome, Beau! Congratulations."

While a fan added: "Well done Mama. I had a 9.9lber last Friday so hats off to you!"

And another said: "Huge congrats you super woman! Soak it all in."

Demi and Andrew got married in January last year, in a private ceremony in Palm Springs and have been living together in Los Angeles since.

However Instagram posts show that the couple have spent some time in her homeland Australia on holiday over the last year.

The pair have spent time in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast and have also enjoyed beauty spots such as Tangalooma Island and Fraser Island.

They announced their engagement on Instagram in July 2019 after Andrew popped the questions during 4th of July celebrations.

They debuted their relationship in February 2018. Demi started dating Andrew, the former Modern Family producer who works with Disney, after splitting from her Home and Away co-star Alec Snow in 2017.

They announced their baby news in March this year by posting an image together during a holiday to Moreton Island in Australia, showing Demi cradling her bump.

The 29 year old star looked over the moon as she straddled a palm tree for the snap.

Andrew, who was topless in beach shorts, then posed behind her with a big grin.

Demi captioned her post: "2 become 3 in 2023," adding "plus one" and a dog emoji in honour of the couple's beloved pet dog.

In her stories, the actress also shared another image of her little baby bump, as she posed for a cute and funny throwback snap while wearing reindeer ears, appearing it had been taken around Christmas.
