Maybe I’m really out of touch, but were people freaking out either way regarding the Tom Brady and Irina Shayk news? Tom and Irina were photographed together in LA this past weekend and it’s clear that they spent the weekend shacked up together, bumping uglies. Like, I was somewhat surprised that it happened, but it’s not like “oh, wow, Tom Brady is dating a nuclear physicist, that’s random” nor was it like “oh, a beautiful model is dating someone ugly and poor??” They’re two attractive, mature, wealthy, famous adults who are free and single. Anyway, People Magazine and other outlets have a lot of follow-up reporting on this hookup, so let’s dive in. First up: is Gisele Bundchen mad??
Gisele Bündchen wants nothing but the best for Tom Brady. Amid rumors that a summer romance has been brewing between the retired NFL quarterback, 45, and model Irina Shayk, an exclusive source tells PEOPLE that his ex-wife “is on holiday in Brazil at the moment and is living her life, but she’s said in the past that she just wants him to be happy.”

I believe this more than I believe the reports that Gisele is furious or worked up over it. It’s not even like Tom had some random fling with a nanny or whatever (cough) – this was a thought-out tryst, not a spontaneous and ill-advised one night stand. Speaking of:
The new summer romance between Tom Brady and Irina Shayk has been brewing for “a few weeks,” a source tells PEOPLE. Shayk, 37, and Brady, 45, “have been in touch for a few weeks,” according to the insider, who says “there is a spark” between the model and retired NFL star.
The source says Brady invited Shayk to “fly out and meet up in Los Angeles,” where the two were spotted cozying up during a romantic weekend. “They spent the night Friday and Saturday at a house” where Brady is staying, the source explains.
“There is an attraction,” according to the source, who adds that Brady and Shayk “have never been involved romantically before” the summer fling began.
Another source tells PEOPLE that the two first started talking when they were guests at billionaire art heir Joe Nahmad’s wedding to model Madison Headrick in Sardinia, Italy back in June.

Sure – they met at the June wedding, Irina followed him around and threw herself at him and he gave it some thought and said “sure, that might be interesting.” Meanwhile, the Mail’s sources claim that Irina’s ex, Bradley Cooper, is in his feelings about all of this. For a while last fall, I thought Irina and B-Coop were getting back together and maybe having another kid together. Their reunion didn’t go anywhere though. The Mail’s source says: “To say he is not bothered by this would be a lie. He has been on and off and on with Irina and he has so much love for her. She is the mother to his girl and they are his two favorite women in the world. He feels that, for the first time, she met someone in Tom that would take her heart away from him forever. Tom is very capable of being a devoted husband and parent and husband. This is what gets to Bradley.” So instead of marrying the mother of his daughter and having more babies with her (which is what Irina wanted), Bradley is now mad that Irina is dating someone who might marry her and maybe even have a kid with her? Men are so awful.
