James Jordan, who last performed on Strictly Come Dancing as a professional six years ago, has given his verdict on last night’s dances at Blackpool Ballroom Tower, along with his with Ola Jordan. James revealed he was less than impressed with Michelle Visage’s performance, where she and Giovanni Pernice showcased a Street/Commercial routine for their Couple’s Choice.
The two decided to dance to Madonna’s Vogue, and drew inspiration from the singers’ 1990 MTV Awards performance as Michelle donned a Marie Antoinette style gown and hair piece.
The routine scored the pair 32 out of a possible 40 points from the judges, but still landed bottom of the leaderboard.
James blasted the performance and claimed they weren’t dancing, just moving their hands around.
In their HELLO! Magazine column, James said: “The leaderboard should have been Karim, Kelvin, Saffron, Emma, then Alex, Chris and then Michelle. Michelle at the bottom, no question.”

He continued: “B****y hell, I think I danced more when I go on my golf walk! [Laughs].
“It wasn’t commercial dance, it was Vogue! It was ridiculous, that’s something Madonna made up. It’s not a dance, for me it was just walking around moving your hand in front of your face.”
Ola agreed and said the RuPaul Drag Race star was “let down by the theme”.
The pregnant dancer said: “I think it’s a real shame because Michelle is a good dancer and she’s better than Alex and Chris but during yesterday’s performance she wasn’t.
“She was let down by the theme, whatever she was given, she’s better than this.”
“Maybe she wanted to be the one to do it, but it was a bad idea,” James added. “It was a bad idea that backfired.”
James also live tweeted during last night’s show, and said he believes Michelle should be the one to leave this evening.
He wrote: “Great show tonight….. Michelle and Chris should be in the dance off after tonight performances.

“And Michelle should go. But it’s all about the vote now. What are your predictions?”
Meanwhile, Michelle was emotional in a VT played ahead of her dance with Giovanni last night.
The mother-of-two spoke about what Vogue means to her, having been a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community for so many years.
“It’s less about the song and more about what Voguing has meant to me as a teenager who kind of had no place in New York City and was taken in by the gay community,” she began.

Fighting back the tears and becoming emotional, she said: “I knew for the first time, that I had found my family. I knew that I was there and I knew that I was home.”
As she continued to explain the heartfelt reason she wanted to dance to the number, Michelle added: “And I wasn’t alone, I wasn’t questioned for who I was, or what I looked like or if I wasn’t cool enough or skinny enough, I was just me and they loved me for me.
“This couple’s choice dance, I want to dedicate to the community that’s been there for me from the beginning.
“I will never leave you just as you’ve never left me,” she declared, speaking directly to the viewers at home.
