Singer Jesy Nelson has been slated online after sharing a video of a "hungry" and "stressed" tiger trying to lunge at her.
On Tuesday, Jesy, 31, shared a video on her Instagram of herself getting close to a tiger, with a glass wall separating the two.
The video was filmed during a recent visit to a Port Lympne Safari, which offers guests the opportunity to stay in a luxury cabin within the tiger enclosure.
The former Little Mix star was seen placing her hand on the protective glass before laughing, when the tiger stands on its two back legs and pounces towards her, leading Jesy to jump back in shock.
She captioned the video: "Someone was hungry."
However, Jesy's followers didn't seem to share the singer's humour in the situation as a lot of them slammed her for laughing at the "stressed" tiger.
One follower said: "Ah that poor tiger stressed if jumping like that."
A second person wrote: "Behind the glass cage for everyone to stare at and tease. Nothing to do with the people staying there it's the animals."
"Poor animal," typed another.
However, some people came to Jesy's defence, saying the tiger was just "playing".
One person said: "Tiger wasn’t showing signs of stress or aggression here, it was actually showing signs of play (they jump and paw at each other like that when playing with other tigers) and affection."
A second added: "They live in a 600-acre park, the tiger isn't stressed lol."
The enclosure at the park is over an acre in size, meaning that the tigers have plenty of room to roam freely, while there are only two glass fronts for guests, meaning that the rest of the enclosure is filled with plants, the Mirror reports.
Jesy's outing comes just days after the star went Instagram official with her boyfriend, Zion Foster, as she posted a sweet clip of her serenading him.
The post, which was simply captioned with a couple of emojis, saw the former girlbander show off her impressive vocals as she sung Session 32 by Summer Walker, while Zion played the music on the keyboard.
While this is the first time Jesy has posted her boyfriend on her social media, the pair were first rumoured to be getting close a couple of months ago, after they both posted photos to social media of themselves in Jamiaca, although were careful not to show who they had travelled with.
At the time The Sun reported that the "smitten pair" checked into the five-star Sandals resort in Montego Bay on the north of the island, which is popular for honeymoons and lovers' retreats.
Since then the pair were spotted holding hands while shopping together at a Sainsbury's in Essex.
