Katie Price hits back as trolls shame her over sharing a bed with son Harvey

Katie Price has hit back at trolls who criticised her for sharing a bed with her 20 year old son Harvey.

Harvey, who has Prader-Willi Syndrome, autism and is blind, spends the majority of his time at a residential college in Gloucestershire.

But when he was home over Christmas, mum-of-five Kate shared a video of herself cuddling Harvey in bed.

And defending her decision, the 44 year old has hit back at mum-shamers and revealed that she is unable to be affectionate with Harvey when he’s at college so it is different when he’s at home.

"Harvey is a big baby,” she said during an interview with Women’s Radio Station.

“At college they are not allowed to cuddle and touch him or anything. When he’s here, he just wants to hold my hand, stroke my hair, give me kisses. I don’t care what anyone says, they can think what they like."

The former glamour model, who recently showed off the results of her 16th boob job, was hit with a backlash over the festive season for her actions, with one writing on social media: “Totally inappropriate at his age regardless of his needs."

A second wrote: "Something does not seem right here, I don't think it's appropriate to do this."

A third penned: “Despite his disabilities you should not be doing that," said a third.”

Others thought the moment was sweet however, with one writing: "How much he loves his mummy, forever our babies xx.”

The comments came after Katie shared a clip to her Instagram account of Harvey next to her in bed and told the camera: “Already Harvey’s home and getting in my bed like a baby wanting cuddles.”

In the recent interview Katie also revealed that her eldest son has a girlfriend at his college, which is called National Star College and is based in Cheltenham.

She even met Harvey’s girlfriend during a school visit and revealed she said “hello” but received a short “hi” back and the girl continued on.

"They’re not sociable. They’re blunt and matter of fact, and it just makes me laugh,” she said.

In Katie’s BBC documentary with Harvey – Katie Price: What Harvey Did Next – last year, it was revealed that Harvey smashed up the shop at the college during his first few days there as he was struggling to settle in.

Harvey’s father is former footballer Dwight Yorke, but he does not play an active part in the 20 year old’s life.

Katie is also mum to Junior, 17, and Princess, 15, from her first marriage to singer Peter Andre and Jett, nine, and Bunny, eight, from her third marriage to Kieran Hayler.
