Katie Price reveals her protection dog Blade ‘sleeps in her room’ after fifth terrifying kidnap threat

Katie Price has revealed her protection dog, Blade, sleeps in her room and said she feels “safer” when the pup is by her side.

The 41 year old former glamour model bought her protection dog, a German Shepherd named Blade, in July last year after she was carjacked and sexually assaulted in South Africa in 2018.

And Katie, who recently signed up for a dating app, urged footballer Dele Alli to get himself a protection pup after he was robbed on Thursday 14 May.

Speaking to The Sun Online, she said: “After what happened to Dele Alli the other day I feel more than ever the need to up my security.

“I have that in Blade – he sleeps in my room.

“He is the best friend a girl could ever wish for and personal four legged bodyguard to me and my family.”

And a representative for the star told the publication: “Katie has received five kidnap threats to date and Blade is Katie's front line of defence – for her and the children.

“Blade has become a vital part of Katie’s life.”

The mum of five, who’s son Harvey has raised more than £12,000 for NHS charities with his rainbow t-shirts, shared clips of her and her dog taking part in training sessions with Protection Dog Worldwide on her Instagram story.

The clips, originally posted by the dog training company and re-shared by Katie, show her walking in front of Blade and giving the dog commands.

Below the first clip, she gushed about her pup as she wrote: “My clever boy Blade”.

And above the next piece of footage she praised the training company as she wrote: “Cannot fault the incredible training from @protectiondogworldwide”.

Katie then admitted she loves her dog above the third video as she said: “Blade is very much part of the family, but I feel safe knowing that he can protect us too,” followed by three pink heart emojis.

It comes after Katie bravely opened up about receiving her fifth kidnap threat on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins last month.

During a grilling on the show by Jason 'Foxy' Fox and Matthew Ollerton on the gruelling Channel 4 show Katie, 41, candidly opened up about her difficult year.

Katie explained: “I don’t know where to start. My fifth kidnap threat I got two weeks ago and then my mum being told she was terminally ill last year and then my horse escaped in my front road and it died in my hands.

“My German Shepherd dog got run over on my driveway and then [I was] held at gunpoint.”
