Kerry Katona has detailed a cancer scare she suffered previously after finding a lump underneath her armpit in the shower, admitting that the discovery made her 'life flash before her eyes'.
The mother-of-four spoke about the ordeal during this week's exclusive column, where she also gave us the lowdown on what she's been up to this week, shared her weight loss joy and sent condolences to Ronan Keating's family after the loss of his brother last week.
As a former girl band member herself, our columnist wasn't short of opinions about the rumoured Spice Girls reunion either, urging Victoria Beckham to swallow her pride and get up there.

Last week, it was revealed that Danielle Lloyd was suffering a cancer scare after doctors discovered cysts on both her ovaries, leaving the former WAG terrified. Sharing her sympathy for the star, Kerry admits that she knows first hand how scary it can be as she details a cancer scare of her own.
"I really felt for Danielle Lloyd last week when she shared details of her cancer scare. I hope she’s OK. It’s such a scary thing. I once found a lump underneath my armpit in the shower and it was around a similar time that Sarah Harding was diagnosed, which put the fear of God in me," says our columnist.
She adds: "My life flashed before my eyes and that’s when my health anxiety really kicked in. I had the realisation that we’re not all immortal and that your health is not always something you can control."
Health is something that Kerry has been focusing on in recent weeks as she looks to get herself back to top form after being diagnosed with scoliosis and suffering from chronic pain. After months of doing the Francis diet, she's really seeing the results pay off and is shedding the pounds while also feeling happier.
"I posted on Instagram last week that I was down to 10st 12lb and I’ve lost even more weight since then, I’m really focusing on keeping healthy and being the best version of myself. I am loving the Francis Diet so much. I don’t like the word diet but it’s the best thing I’ve done for my weight. I’m watching what I eat and being mindful, it’s not rocket science but it’s making a massive impact."
Kerry's also been enjoying taking a back seat from work and embracing family time while getting herself back on track.
After spending some time with her brother Paul, she says: "I went to see my brother last week at the fire station where he works. It was such a fun day. I’ve got so many nieces and nephews and I caught up with them too. We don’t see each other very often but we talk all the time.
"They’re only an hour away so they visit me too. At the moment I’m really trying to take some time out from work and focus on appreciating life, sometimes we can get so caught up in it all."
Kerry is also sending her love to showbiz pal Ronan Keating, who was left devastated after his brother Ciaran was tragically killed in a car accident last week.
Describing the ordeal as 'heartbreaking', our columnist shares: "It was so horrible to hear the awful news about Ronan Keating’s brother Ciaran passing away. It’s my worst nightmare to think of losing a family member. It’s heart-breaking. You never know what’s going to happen tomorrow and that’s why you just need to embrace life.
"I know Ronan from over the years but I’d never met his brother. I’m sending so much love and strength to him and the family."
Explaining that tough times make her realise how much you need to embrace life and take every opportunity, Kerry casts her mind to the recent news surrounding Victoria Beckham and her reported unwillingness to hit the stage again.
After it was rumoured that all the Spice Girls were set to reunite last week, and then quickly debunked by sources close to Posh who said she wouldn't be taking part, original fan Kerry is gutted. Urging Posh to take the moment and not worry about what others think, our columnist wants the star to stop stressing.
"I’m gutted that Victoria Beckham doesn’t want to do a Spice Girls reunion as I’m such a big fan. Apparently she’s worried about being criticised for her singing ability – but it isn’t even about that, it’s about bringing the girl power back!
She cheekily adds: "People criticised me for my singing in Atomic Kitten but being in a girl band is just supposed to be fun. And I know first-hand, there’s nothing like an original band line-up! Stop taking yourself seriously, Posh, get up there and have fun – you should know not to worry what anyone else thinks."
