Khloe Kardashian has shared an emotional tribute to Tristan Thompson’s late mother, Andrea Thompson, who died unexpectedly earlier this month.
Khloe, who is the younger sister of Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, has had a long and often complicated romance with basketball player Tristan Thompson, but it appears the duo remain close.
They share a daughter, True, and an unnamed son who was born via surrogate last year.
On Tuesday, the 38 year old reality TV star took to Instagram, where she shared a heartfelt letter about Andrea alongside 10 pictures that also featured Tristan and her own mother, Kris Jenner.
In the caption, she wrote: "I have been avoiding this…. Avoiding accepting this is real. I have so much to say but nothing at all…. I have so many emotions and still I feel numb. Life can be brutally unfair at times and This has been one of the toughest times in so many of our lives.”
Khloe continued: “But at the same time, I feel blessed that I am lucky to have had someone that makes saying goodbye so incredibly difficult. So difficult that I’m choosing not to say goodbye for good because that is something I cannot fathom," she added.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star continued to say that she doesn’t believe in “goodbyes for good” and: “I KNOW I will see you again.”
She continued: “I know I’ll get to feel that embrace of yours. I’ll see you again with the many that have gone before you that I so desperately miss, love and cherish. So, I’m choosing to say, that until I see you again in Heaven, I miss you and I will continue to miss you more and more every single day.”
Khloe then noted how Andrea “never wanted to leave your boys”, but she personally vowed to protect and guide her mother-in-law's youngest son Amari, who lives with epilepsy.
“Just know, I promise you, Amari will be perfectly ok. We will all look after him, help him and protect him. Your boys will be ok because they have their guardian Angel by their side,” she added.
She concluded the lengthy message with scripture that summed up her previous words.
Reacting to the touching post, Kris Jenner replied: “Oh my precious girl I love you so, may God wrap you up in His arms and give you strength.”
“I love you,” wrote Khloe’s sister Kim as her friend and former Big Brother housemate Malika Haqq wrote, “Amen.”
Earlier in the month, a source told Page Six that Andrea was at home when she suffered a heart attack and was rushed to a local hospital, where medics tried to resuscitate her to no avail.
In the most recent series of The Kardashians, Khloe was seen splitting from Tristan yet again asa she learned he had fathered a love child while their surrogate was pregnant.
When news of Andrea's death broke, Khloe was seen getting off a private jet in Toronto with Tristan, having accompanied him following his loss.
