Kirstie Allsopp has sparked concerns after she revealed she will be taking a break from Twitter. The 51-year-old predominantly uses the platform on a daily basis to express her opinion on current news issues. In view of her 430,000 followers this evening, she announced she will be “reluctantly taking a Twitter break”.
She added: “There’s too much on my plate at the moment, and the hour or so every day spent on here is time taken from friends, family or work.
“So I’m deleting the little Blue bird for a bit, be good while I’m away. Contact @ArlingtonTalent if you need me.”
Many of Kirstie’s fans flocked to her post to wish her well.
Beb Beb wrote: “Hope you are okay xx.”
Frankie added: “Nice self discipline.”
Carl Barlow commented: “Hope things are OK will miss ur tweets.”(sic)
“Please come back. I enjoy your company,” Gilly Usborne penned.
It’s not the first time the property expert has decided to take a break from social media.
Following a row with Adil Ray last year, she told fans the micro-blogging site was “not, sadly, a place for me”.
As part of a lengthy post, she wrote: “Twitter is now full of people who think nuance is a dirty word. Who believes that if they disagree with you on one thing then you must be venal in all ways.
“It’s therefore not, sadly, a place for me. I enjoy debate, intelligent debate and exchanges of views, ideas and perspectives, this is no longer a place for that.”
She later updated her bio to: “Off Twitter once and for all. Determined not to fall off the wagon. Keeping account here to stop copycat b******s.”

One topic Kirstie tweeted about this week was the controversy surrounding the World Cup being in Qatar.
She wrote: “I know mixing sport & politics is a tricky one but god I wish one of our players would suddenly whip out a scarf & wave it round in the air in support of all those brave young women in #Iran they have risked everything to protest for their rights, everything. #WorldCup.”
Kirstie went on to back the idea of captains wearing the OneLove armband, however their decision was reversed amid fears they might not be able to play.
Meanwhile, the presenter returned to screens with her co-star Phil Spencer last week for a new series of Location Location Location.
The duo will navigate their way through a hostile housing climate in order to find the ideal home for their hopeful contestants.
Ahead of the first episode being aired, a synopsis read: “Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer go house-hunting on the Kent coast – Phil’s home turf.
“He is with Ellen, who is moving out from her parents’ in Hertfordshire and wants to live in the midst of Margate’s vibrant LGBTQ+ community.
“Meanwhile, Kirstie helps young parents Sophie and Matt, who need to get out of Sophie’s mum’s and find their own family home in Broadstairs.”
