With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce. We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of. This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family.
Kristin and Jay got married in 2013 and announced their split in April 2020. “It just didn’t work,” she said. “I met Jay when I was 23. I was a kid, but we tried. We tried everything, and Jay and I had so much love for each other. No one could ever take that away from us. But at the end of the day, we weren’t happy.”
Kristin also said that her parents’ divorce let her to see her mom in a “really happy, healthy marriage,” and that “that’s actually what I want. I want my kids to see me happy. I think that’s important.”
