Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper‘s A Star Is Born single “Shallow” is among the 15 tracks that were shorlisted for the Academy Awards’ Best Original Song.
Lady Gaga’s “Shallow” will be competing against Thom Yorke‘s “Suspirium” from Suspiria, Kendrick Lamar and SZA‘s Black Panther track “All the Stars,” Dolly Parton‘s “Girl in the Movies” from Dumplin’, Sade‘s “The Big Unknown” from Widows, and Quincy Jones‘ “Keep Reachin'” with Chaka Khan and Mark Ronson from Quincy.
Other shortlisted nominees are Sigur Ros’ Jonsi and Troye Sivan‘s “Revelation from Boy Erased and the Coup and Lakeith Stanfield‘s “OYAHYTT” from Sorry to Bother You.
Emily Blunt‘s two songs from Mary Poppins Returns, “The Place Where Lost Things Go” and “Trip a Little Light Fantastic” with Lin-Manuel Miranda, have also been shortlisted for the Oscars as well.
The five Best Original Song nominees will be announced along with the rest of the Oscar nominees on January 22.
Other shortlist songs include, Tim Blake Nelson and Willie Watson‘s “When A Cowboy Trades His Spurs For Wings” from The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, Sampha‘s “Treasure” from Beautiful Boy, Arlissa‘s “We Won’t Move” from The Hate U Give, Jennifer Hudson and Diane Warren‘s “I’ll Fight” from RBG and Gal Gadot and Sarah Silverman‘s “A Place Called Slaughter Race” from Ralph Breaks the Internet.
