Landon Barker is addressing the speculation surrounding his upcoming new single and his relationship with Chase Hudson.

The 19-year-old musician announced his new song “Friends With Your EX” earlier this week, even dropping a couple of teasers, and fans immediately went straight to it being about Chase, aka HUDDY.

In a new interview on the BFFs podcast with Dave Portnoy, Josh Richards and Bri Chickenfry, Landon was of course asked about who the song is about and where he currently stands with Chase.

When first asked about it, Landon was coy about what or who the song was about.

“It’s kind of just like a take how you want it type of thing, you know,” he said. “Just take it as you want it. I’m not gonna like stick it and put it to a certain situation, but it’s just…”

He was then asked if he and Chase were friends now.

“No… I mean, no bad blood, you know, at least on my side,” Landon shared. “My song isn’t necessarily a shot at him, it’s more about my side of everything. I didn’t make this song intentionally to be a dick or whatever. I more made it to just explain my side of how it is when you end up falling in love with somebody you’re not technically supposed to.”

“My whole point in the song, I’ve learned in my past year of relationships and what not that you got to weigh out the pros and cons in life and figure out what exactly is best for you in the situation,” he continued later. “Me and Chase at that point were kind of growing apart as friends, and I met a new girl and I kind of just took a shot at it. It ended up going well, you know.”
