Linda Nolan, 61, has revealed she got into a “row” with some shoppers who were breaking the government’s coronavirus rules by not wearing face masks while browsing in a store. The Nolans singer admitted she finds shopping “scary” now, as she could put herself at an increased risk of catching COVID-19 while she is battling cancer.

Linda divulged: “It’s scary, I forget I have no immune system and I have to keep reminding myself.

“I think oh I’ll just nip to the shop and I can’t because not everyone’s wearing their mask.”

Linda explained she had an argument with some younger people in a shop recently and told them about her cancer diagnosis.

She recalled: “I had a stand-up row with people in one shop recently, kids.

“At the end I threw in the cancer card.

“‘I’ve got cancer, so you don’t worry but I’ll die if you give it to me.’”

Some people with cancer may be at a higher risk of getting coronavirus, as the disease weakens their immune system.

People who are having chemotherapy and immunotherapy are in the extremely vulnerable category for COVID-19.

Linda also gave an update about her treatment.

She told Entertainment Daily: “I did ring the bell, I’ve finished my treatment.

“I had a CT scan at the beginning of the week which I get the results for in a couple of weeks and then we’ll take it from there.

“We’ll find out if there’s more treatment or if the chemo has worked, please God.”

The star added: “I feel well at the moment. I’m as bald as a badger.

“I’ve got little tiny hairs coming through which I keep counting every day, but I feel well, I feel okay at the moment.”

Linda was diagnosed with incurable liver cancer back in April after it spread from her pelvis.

Her sister Anne Nolan, 69, was told she had stage three breast cancer just a few days earlier.

Linda was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006.

A year later, she had Cellulitis and Lymphoedema in her arm and secondary cancer was found on her pelvis in 2017.

Linda and Anne went public with their cancer diagnoses over the summer.

Linda recently admitted she worries about whether this Christmas will be her last.

She told Bella Magazine: “I lie in bed and I wonder how long I’ll be here, if I’ll see my great-nieces and nephews grow into adults, or if this Christmas is going to be my last.”
