Wednesday evening's episode of Love Island started with a brutal double elimination of one girl and boy, continuing on from Tuesday's cliff hanger.
It was announced that the two newest islanders, Jessie Wynter and Aaron Waters, would have to decide which boy and girl would be going home first after they were left with the least votes from the public in a public vote.
After careful consideration over who would be missing out on the show the most, the pair decided Haris Namani and Anna-May Robey's time in the villa had come to an end.
Anna-May, 20, has now expressed her sadness about leaving the show.
When asked to sum up her experience on Love Island, Anna-May said: "I had such an incredible time, I’ve made really good memories and friends that will last a lifetime.
"It’s definitely something I would do again, I have no regrets because I’ve had the best ten days of my life! It's an experience that not many people get so you can’t take that for granted, I’m really grateful."
Anna-May had expressed feeling lost in the villa despite initially believing there was something between her and Kai Fagan. However, he went back to initial coupling Tanyel Revan just a few days before the dumping.
Anna-May was part of the original Love Island line-up and jetted off to South Africa ahead of the show’s opening episode on 16 January.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Haris would be leaving the villa after a video of him in a street fight emerged on the internet. But viewers did not know who the girl leaving with him would be until it was announced on the show.
Viewers took to Twitter to express their disappointment in Anna-May being ditched from the villa, however they said they weren't surprised by the decision.
One person said: "The Australians were clearly doing up deliberation and debate for image because it was obvious Anna-May and Haris had to go pls #LoveIsland."
A second person added: "I think Anna-May seemed the most genuine out of all of the girls, I’m sad she’s going home."
Another disappointed viewer said: "I feel sorry for Anna-may I don’t feel she got enough airtime for the public to actually rate her. #loveisland"
Fans have previously complained to ITV about not giving Anna-May enough screen time on the show, as they "forgot" she was there.
Love Island continues Sunday to Fridays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
