Love Island’s Finley Tapp teases imminent proposal to Paige Turley

Winter Love Island winners Paige Turley and Finley Tapp have opened up about their future as a couple, as they've gone from strength to strength following their win on the first Winter edition of Love Island in 2020.

Speaking to OK! at the Pride of Britain Awards, the pair discussed the possibility of becoming engaged, with Paige saying: "All of that is up to him – I can't force him."

Finley explained: "Getting married is definitely something that we both want to happen, but we spent almost 2 years of our relationship in and out of lockdown, so we're just catching up on life really.

"I'd love to marry Paige, but right now, we're just living our best life, and then whatever happens, happens."

Earlier this month Paige took to social media to respond to rumours that the pair had ended their relationship.

These claims continued to spread after Paige jetted off on travels around the globe, and fans began wondering why her boyfriend had not joined her on her trip.

Taking to Instagram she addressed the claims directly, as she said: “I'm not being funny, if I get one more message going 'Where's Finn? Where's Finn?'

She then jokingly added: "I hope he's still in the cage in the living room where I left him. Or at least he f****** should be."

Paige has also recently discussed her experience on the show, arguing that it can lead to successful relationships, hew own being one example of this.

She explained: “We found love on the show. We are proof the whole idea of Love Island does work.

"We’ve been together for two-and-a-half years and are still going strong. For us, the show did exactly what it said on the tin.

“We are not the only success stories – look at Jamie Jewitt and Camilla Thurlow from season three who are married and have just had their second baby.”

She continued to say that spending time alone in the sun and without a phone ultimately leads to a better connection.

Paige added: “Being locked away for several weeks in the sun without a phone, the internet or social media is extremely liberating and allows people to get to know each other the old fashioned way – through the art of conversation.
