Love Island's Indiyah Polack has slammed Deji Adeniyi's claims that they kissed in the Casa Amor villa in scenes that were not aired to the public.
Indiyah's brief Casa Amor suitor Deji, 25, made the comments when he appeared on the Reality with Will Njobvu podcast, and when Indiyah, 23, and her boyfriend Dami Hope, 26, appeared on BBC Radio 1Xtra recently, Indiyah was asked to set the record straight.
The radio show's presenter Nadia Jae said to Indiyah: “Apprently Deji said that like there’s been more kissing and cuddling between you two?” before Dami interjected and said: "Let's ask this question right now."
Indiyah indignantly denied Deji's claims, insisting they kissed only twice, as she said: “No I kissed Deji once in a challenge in Casa and once when we came back in bed, that’s the only time I’ve kissed him.”
As radio host Nadia said: "Deji stop", Indiyah implored Deji, saying: "So Deji, stop the cap. Ok babe, stop the c**p.”
Dami Hope and Indiyah both spent time with other people when Casa Amor was introduced, with Indiyah and her fellow female Islanders going to a new villa to meet six new boys, and the original guys meeting six new girls.
Indiyah ended up coupled with Deji, and Dami with Summer Botwe, 22, before Dami and Indiyah realised that their connection was too strong and ended up back together.
After his departure from the villa, Deji said that there was more to his relationship with Indiyah than met the public's eye, claiming that the pair "kissed multiple times", and expressing his confusion when Indiyah dumped him to reunite with Dami.
Appearing on the Reality with Will Njobvu podcast, Deji said: “There were conversations that we had where she [Indiyah] would come to me and be like ‘oh he said this, this and this’ but she would be sat on my lap kissing me."
He continued: “So, then it was like I had nothing to worry about. There was never any inkling that made me go ‘OK, you’re here today but gone tomorrow’.”
Deji's fellow Love Island star Natalia Campos questioned his version of events, saying that she never saw them kissing.
She said: "I didn't know she kissed you? Did we ever see them kissing?," she asked. Host Will Njobvu then replied: "I don't think so."
Deji then said "did it not show?", before Will replied: "How many kisses… how many times…?"
"Let me not speak," said Deji before saying he and Indiyah had kissed "a few times".
Dami and Indiyah's relationship appears to be going from strength to strength after becoming "official" in the Love Island villa, with Indiyah recently meeting members of his family including his grandmother.
As she updated fans on Instagram, some were a little surprised by her outfit choice for such an occasion – as Indiyah donned a white crop top that showed breasts with nipple piercings that were joined by a chain.
Later, Dami took to Instagram to address comments he’d been receiving about Indiyah’s choice of top.
"Obviously stop coming at my girl," said Dami. "Because I told her to wear this, this spectacular top."
Pointing to the quirky design, Indiyah explained: "This is in light of Dami losing his nipple piercing."
