An expert has claimed that Love Island star Luca Bish has “lost his humility” in the lead up to the final and isn’t threatened by newly exclusive couple Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti as competition to win.
Luca, 23, has been in a couple with Gemma Owen, 19, since early on in the ITV2 dating show, and in recent episodes the contestant has appeared confident that they will make it to the last day and bag that £50,000 winners’ prize.
Body language expert Darren Stanton believes this has tarnished the charm and appealing character Luca had at the start of the show.
He told The Sun: "I feel Luca has lost some of his humility which was probably one of his most endearing qualities at the beginning, perhaps because of his new-found status in a relationship with Gemma."
He went on to say that Luca's body language "was very confident" as he discussed the Ekin-Su and Davide situation with Gemma and "stretched his arms out exposing his torso area".
He explained: "This is a primal gesture, because when we feel confident enough to leave ourselves unguarded it means we believe we will not be attacked by anyone else, but in this context in this day and age it is a gesture of confidence as I feel Luca believes he is in with a strong chance of winning.”
Gemma has also seemed pretty unrattled by fellow contestants as the race to the Love Island final draws closer.
The Islander has shown herself to be more than confident in her couple with Luca, despite yet another couple announcing that they are exclusive.
Expert Darren warned that Gemma needs to realise that the competition isn’t necessarily going to be plain-sailing for her though.
He said: “When discussing Davide and Ekin-Su’s new exclusivity, Gemma appeared critical over the way they decided to disclose what was going on in their relationship as she stated she was glad she and Luca went about it the way they did compared to Davide and Ekin-Su.
“However, Gemma’s body language is still consistent as she comes over as being confident in her relationship with Luca and does believe they can go the distance and maybe even win."
