Grammy Award-winning British pop star Dua Lipa has got a new wax figure at Madame Tussauds.
“I absolutely am honored to have my new wax figure displayed at the world’s greatest wax museum, Madame Tussauds New York in Times Square. It has been a privilege to work closely with the artists and creatives on making the figure just right. I hope guests of the museum enjoy her as much as I do!” said Lipa.
Lipa is wearing her famous custom white sequined outfit by The Attico. The singer’s wax figure is dressed for Studio 2054, the livestream concert event held back in late 2020.
The figure was created after the pop star sat for more than 150 measurements solely to get her face structure exact. According to the press release, it took around five weeks to do just her hair, as “each strand of hair was individually inserted by hand.”
Each Madame Tussauds figure takes approximately six months to create.
