EastEnders star Maisie Smith has revealed she got "really p***ed and slept for 24 hours" after taking part in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
The channel 4 series follows celebrity contestants undertaking a gruelling training course for a charitable trust against cancer.
Out of 14 household names, the final four who came out victorious in this year's series were Maisie, Calum Best, AJ Pritchard and Ferne McCann.
Explaining how she celebrated the completion of the tough TV challenge, Maisie told the Sun: "I got really p*ssed and then slept for 24 hours! That’s how I celebrated!"
She added: "The directing staff would always say, ‘We’re not looking for the fastest or the strongest. We want someone that has the strongest brain and heart’. And I think I did.
“That’s where I won them over, my mentality of never giving up. I’ve never felt more empowered, more strong. I’ve had feelings over the years about not being good enough.
"But this got that demon off my shoulder. I came out feeling like I could conquer the world.”
The actress is best known for playing the role of Tiffany Butcher on EastEnders from 2004 to 2014.
She then took part in the 2020 series of Strictly Come Dancing and finished at second place with her professional partner Gorka Márquez.
While Maisie has certainly been keeping busy with her musical debut Strictly Ballroom The Musical where she plays the lead role of Fran, the star has also been enjoying time with her boyfriend Max George.
She told the Sun that taking part in SAS helped her be more open. Referring to Max, she said: “Now he really knows me.”
Maisie and The Wanted singer, 34, reportedly became close while they were taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour.
They were then pictured holding hands and boarding a flight together to Crete.
A source told The Sun at the time: "They were all over each other. This isn't a flash in the pan.
"Max has told people that he is falling in love with Maisie."
Since then, the pair have been very open about their relationship, often sharing snaps of one another and declaring their love for each other.
