Marc Pilcher has died at the age of 53 from Covid. The star was a hair and make-up stylist on Bridgerton and had recently won an Emmy for his work.

Stars of Bridgerton have been paying tribute to Marc following the news of his death.

It was confirmed earlier today he had died following a battle with Covid.

The star had worked in the film industry since 2003 on a number of productions including Mary, Queen of Scots.

Other projects he had worked on include Star Wars: Episode IX and Downton Abbey.

Marc had won an Emmy just last month for his work on Bridgerton for best period hair styling.

The news of his death was confirmed by Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan earlier today.

She plays Penelope Featherington in the hit Netflix series.

She took to Instagram earlier today to pen a heartfelt message to her colleague.

She wrote: “So heartbroken by the loss of Marc Pilcher, the brilliant and visionary Hair and Makeup designer for Bridgerton Season One.

“Marc was so passionate about his work and so tremendously talented. Not even a month ago he won his first Emmy award.

“It’s a tragedy that he’s been taken so young when he had so much yet to do.”

She also offered a plea for people to get vaccinated in light of the news.
