Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Call Archie Their “Little Pumpkin” in a Halloween Shoutout

Although they didn’t quite step out in costume, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle still celebrated Halloween in a small way. The royal couple posted a festive message to their official Instagram account to greet their followers, and snuck in a sweet nod to their five-month-old son, Archie.

“Wishing you all a safe and fun Halloween from our family (and our little pumpkin 🎃) to yours!” a message from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex read. “Our little pumpkin” appears to be a reference to the couple’s royal baby, an adorable touch to their already-endearing note.

The photo included in the post was taken last October during the couple’s royal tour of the Pacific. At the time, they were learning about the arts scene in New Zealand, where they met with students and professionals in the entertainment industry. The portrait was snapped during a special effects workshop, which explains the over-the-top costumes and intense makeup.

Like the Sussexes, cousin Princess Eugenie also celebrated the holiday on the ‘gram, sharing a throwback photo with a clown from her younger years. “#tbt to when clowns weren’t scary… Happy Halloween 🎃,” she captioned the shot of herself in a black coat and gingham dress.
