Meghan Markle's brother Thomas Markle Jr has claimed the Duchess of Sussex has not contacted their father in any way since his stroke earlier this year.
Piers Morgan hosted a special episode of his show following Netflix's release of Prince Harry and Meghan's docu-series, in which the Duchess's half-brother made an appearance via video call.
Thomas Jr. revealed that the Markle family had gathered to watch the series, although his father was not present at the event, adding that he had "really wanted to be there."
Speaking to Piers, Thomas hit out at his half-sister and brother-in-law, as he accused the former actress of brushing "the entire family under the carpet" following her marriage to Prince Harry.
He gave an update on his father's health, telling viewers: "Dad is doing very well, making a lot of progress, he's in good spirits. Sometimes he doesn't feel that comfortable to actually make a live appearance, but he's doing very well.
"His speech is definitely coming back. We're making a lot of progress with the speech therapy and for the most part, it's pretty normal. It just goes off after a few moments but comes back. So he's doing very well."
He added: "I'm just very happy that I could be here every day for him since this happened about six months ago."
Asked if Meghan had contacted her father since the stroke, Thomas replied: "None whatsoever… It's just very bizarre how she just basically brushed the entire family under the carpet like we don’t exist, and then lied about not having a family… we've always been here."
Meghan has had a rather strained relationship with her father Thomas in recent years, who earlier this year referred to Harry as his daughter’s “ginger husband”.
In May Thomas Sr suffered from a stroke due to a blood clot on the right side of his brain.
After losing his speech, but making "remarkable progress" Thomas told the Mail on Sunday: "I feel hugely grateful and know how lucky I am to be alive.
"I want to thank everyone, especially the wonderful doctors and nurses who saved my life. They are angels.
"I have been deeply moved by loving messages I’ve received from all over the world. People have been so kind. I can’t speak right now, but I am working hard and will thank people properly when I can."
He added by writing on a whiteboard with a felt tip pen: "I wanted to come to pay my respects to the Queen. I wish her a happy Jubilee and many more years."
At the time it was reported that Meghan had been trying to reach out to her father, but did not want to go through her half-siblings, with an insider saying telling the Mirror: "Meghan can’t contact her half-siblings because she believes they have their own agendas. If she can contact their dad, she wants it to be totally private.
"It won’t involve Netflix, it won’t involve any photographs and it must not involve any tip-offs to the paparazzi."
