Mel C has teased a big surprise so Spice Girls fans get your diaries ready! Spice World, the band's infamous movie will be turning 25 in December after being released in 1997.
The band’s official Twitter account tweeted a message with the hashtag #Spiceworld25, hinting that fans could be expecting an announcement.
And speaking to OK!, Melanie hinted at a potential sequel.
“Let’s just say we’ve been in talks with Universal, the label that produced our first film," she said. "You’ll need to stay tuned to hear more. There will be big celebrations in the coming months, I can tell you that.”
Fans also noticed that the tweet featured branding from their second album with a spinning globe, which had a new slogan.
Alongside a lyric video of their iconic song Wannabe, they tweeted: "#ByeSpice25 #HiSpiceworld25."
It comes after it was reported that the band could be reuniting for Ginger Spice Geri Horner's 50th birthday.
The singer, 49, has invited Baby Spice Emma Bunton, Scary Spice Melanie Brown, Sporty Spice Melanie Chisholm and Posh Spice Victoria Beckham to celebrate her birthday in style at her party in September.
It is believed that the event will take place at a Grade II listed manor in Oxfordshire – close by to David and Victoria's home in the Cotswolds.
A source revealed that the girls could be reuniting on stage at the event to sing Happy Birthday to Geri.
"It's going to be an amazing night. It's a seated, black tie do and the theme is Timeless Elegance. Loads of Geri and her husband Christian’s celeb pals will be there and, excitingly, Geri is inviting all the Spice Girls – including Victoria," they said.
"The girls can't wait to reunite and the plan is for all five of them to sing Happy Birthday and get up on stage to join Geri for a number – possibly Wannabe."
They added: "One of the girls turning 50 is a massive deal — they all want to mark the occasion in style, and reuniting after a decade seems the perfect time."
Last year, Mel C hinted that Victoria would be up for a reunion.
"I know Mrs Beckham would love to do Glastonbury,” she said.
“It’s been rumoured a lot, but we do constantly talk about getting back on stage because the shows in 2019 were incredible.
"We’d love to do it again, once the world allows.”
