Catherine Zeta Jones shares birthday message for Michael Douglas

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have marked yet another shared birthday as one of Hollywood’s strongest power couples.

The pair have also received some special tributes from their two children Dylan, 23, and Carys, 20, as well as Michael’s son Cameron, 44, whom he shares with his ex-wife Diandra Luker.

Carys was the first to share an Instagram Story post with her 212,000 followers to mark the occasion.

Along with a black and white snap of her parents with their arms around each other, Carys wrote: “Happy birthday love birds – thank you for life and the love you fill the world with. I am so proud to be your daughter.”

Dylan shared a throwback snap of his parents smiling on their wedding day, along with the caption: “Happy birthday!

“The two most important people in my life. I love you.”

He also added two separate pictures with each of his parents: one as a toddler strolling hand in hand with Michael, and another as a child sharing a hug with his mom.

Cameron posted a more recent picture of the two actors and typed: “Wishing this dynamic birthday duo the very happiest of special days and no doubt the beginning of a great new year.

“Thank you for continuing to inspire us all. With great Love and Respect Happy Happy Birthday.”

Michael turned 79 this year whilst Welsh actress Catherine is 54.

Michael began the celebrations on Instagram by posting a snap of him kissing his smiling wife of 23 years on the forehead.

“Have a great new year darling!” he wrote in the caption. “Wishing you a very happy birthday! All my love, Michael.”

Later, Wednesday star Catherine took her tribute a step further by uploading a montage of Michael’s life up till now.

“It’s Michael’s Birthday! It my Birthday!” she said. “Happy birthday @michaelkirkdouglas, love you!” (sic)
