Michelle Heaton explains why Katie Price friendship has survived against the odds

Michelle Heaton has opened up about how her friendship with Katie Price has survived over the years.

Speaking in this week'snew! magazine, the star, now 42, said their friendship is intact as she "never talks" about her in public, and vice versa.

Within the chat – which was to show off her new figure after undergoing breast reconstruction surgery – Michelle was asked whether there was any truth to rumours that Katie's friends were abandoning her.

In response, Michelle said: "I never talk about Katie, she never talks about me – and that’s why our friendship still exists."

It was recently claimed in the news that some of Katie's pals – including Danielle Lloyd and Kerry Katona – had "cut ties" with the star, with a source claiming to The Sunday Mirror: "Katie has had a solid group of girls around her for the best part of a decade but now many of her long-term friends are finally cutting ties.

“She hasn’t been seen with any of them in months. After everything that has happened with Katie recently, it feels like things have gone too far.

“They all still love and care for her but feel that they can’t be mates with her at this point.”

Katie recently opened up about having "hardly anyone" left in her life on Lorraine Kelly's chat show.

She told TV veteran Lorraine Kelly: “I find that money causes greediness, and when you’re in this industry or you’re famous or whatever, sometimes I find that people cling onto it and this causes disruption because they get jealous, they get greedy.”

Katie continued: “I’ve realised now to get rid of so many people out of my life. There’s hardly anyone left in it now.”

The mum of five continued by adding she is "too kind" to people but insisted she isn't affected by cutting people out, saying she is "good”.
