Mike & Karen Pence Test Negative for Coronavirus After Trump’s Positive Test

U.S. Vice President Mike Pence and Second Lady Karen Pence have tested negative for coronavirus.

Their latest test results were confirmed by Devin O’Malley, the Vice President’s press secretary, who confirmed his status in an update posted to Twitter on Friday morning (October 2).

“As has been routine for months, Vice President Pence is tested for COVID-19 every day. This morning, Vice President Pence and the Second Lady tested negative for COVID-19. Vice President Pence remains in good health and wishes the Trumps well in their recovery,” he wrote.

The news comes after President Donald Trump confirmed that he and First Lady Melania Trump have tested positive for coronavirus, and are now quarantining to recover from the illness that has killed over 200,000 Americans to date.

“Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!,” he wrote on Twitter.
