In one picture, he is seen holding onto his pet while standing between two cars at the side of the road, as the hearse drove through.

He is then seen taking a picture of his dog sitting in front of the vehicle.

The cortege was making its way to the private funeral attended by the singer’s loved ones.

Earlier on today, the hearse made its way through the crowd who cheered and clapped as they remembered the late musician.

Paying their respects, many also threw red and yellow flowers onto the roof as reggae music was played.

A campervan draped with LGBTQ+ and Rastafarian flags followed the vehicle shortly after.

Hundreds, including Bob Geldof and U2’s Bono, flocked to the seaside town today, as encouraged by Sinead’s family.

In a statement ahead of the funeral, they revealed just how much she loved living in Bray for 15 years and the locals.

As fans waited for her hearse to arrive, they were heard singing along to her hit Nothing Compares 2 U.

Mourners also celebrated her life by waving flags, holding flowers, playing musical instruments and holding up banners.

Additionally, many brought along gifts and penned heartfelt notes for the singer, which were left outside of her home.

One handwritten note from a fan named Bridget read: “Thank you for your short special life, gone too soon.

“Give your lovely son Shane a hug for me in heaven. Have a nice long rest with Shane.”

The message was referring to Sinead’s second youngest child Shane, who died by suicide in January last year.

She also has three other children from past relationships; Jake, 34, Roisin, 27, and Yeshua, 16.

Sinead had been living in London at the time of her death.

She was found “unresponsive” at her new place by police, who said her death wasn’t being treated as suspicious.

An autopsy has since been conducted to determine her cause of death.

Results are expected to be processed within the coming weeks.
