Strictly: Amanda and Giovanni are saved from elimination
The Strictly Come Dancing 2023 couple with the best chemistry has been revealed by a body language expert.
While a certain amount of chemistry is necessary due to the intimate nature of the dances, some obviously have more than others.
This year it appears Sherlock star Amanda Abbington and Giovanni Pernice have struck gold with their pairing according to Darren Stanton, a former police officer with a degree in psychology.
“The strongest couple compatibility and chemistry wise is Amanda and Giovanni,” he said. “They have such a pure chemistry between them and it feels unbreakable.
“When we see them dance together, it’s as though they know each other inside out and it comes across as completely natural.”

“They have formed such a close bond and it’s only going to grow more. They hit the ground running from day one,” he added to Betfair Slots.
Although the bookies currently list Bobby Brazier and partner Dianne Buswell as the favourites to win, having nudged Nigel Harman and Katya Jones out of the top position, Amanda and Giovanni are Darren’s tip to lift the Glitterball trophy.
“Their bond and closeness have been reflected in every dance and appearance so far,” he observed.
“They’ve gone from strength to strength. We have seen them give engaged eye contact for long amounts of time, gentle touches here and there, as well as genuine laughter.
“It’s as though they don’t want to be anywhere else when they are together. They move together as one.

“With a lot of the Strictly couples, their connections and relationships can often look contrived, masking their emotions on screen – but this is not the case here.
“People can be passionate about a certain routine, but they can’t force passion for a person. Giovanni and Amanda’s chemistry is very visual and intense, you can’t escape it.
“They remain at the top of my list in terms of winning,” he concluded.
His predictions belies the current odds and leaderboard. The couple have been consistent with their scores throughout the contest veering between 29 in week one for their Viennese Waltz to 32 in week two for their Salsa.
Last week they scored 31 points for their Foxtrot and they are currently joint fourth favourite in the betting odds alongside TV presenter Angela Scanlon and her pro partner Carlos Gu.
