Neighbours star Alan Fletcher became emotional as he reflected on the end of the long-running soap.
The 65-year-old actor is best known for playing Karl Kennedy on the Australian soap since September 1994, when the Kennedy family was introduced to bring the show back to its family-orientated roots.
After watching a montage of Karl and his wife, Susan (Jackie Woodburne) on This Morning, host Dermot O’Leary declared: “Oh man, that was a trip wasn’t it.”
As Alan admitted he was becoming a bit “teary” and replied: “It’s wonderful to be here, I’ve got a bit of a tear going on here now.”
Alison Hammond added: “28 years on the show, I’m not surprised! When you watch that back does it bring back lovely memories?”
Before Alison, 47, noticed his red eyes and reached out to grab his knee as she exclaimed: “Oh you’re really crying, really getting emotional!”
“Well, it does trigger all that wonderful emotion that you had when you actually shot the scenes,” the soap legend explained.
He admitted that when he filmed those emotional scenes, especially with his on-screen wife, Jackie, they felt “very real” and he remembers the emotion very well.
“Jackie and I you know we’ve busted up and got back together, we’ve busted up and got back together and every time the tears are very real, they feel real and the moment feels real,” he continued.
Alan also displayed his new bald look after opening up about his diagnosis with alopecia.
He wrote on Instagram: "There's been concern expressed on the web that I am unwell. I can assure you I am fit and well and very busy filming the last episodes of Neighbours EVER!

"I have a disorder called alopecia areata that causes patchy hair loss. I have recorded a video explaining the condition which you can view on my website and on the Neighbours Facebook page.
“Thank you for your concern and support. Fletch."
Alan also revealed that he once appeared on the soap as a different character, mechanic Greg Cooper in 1987 before he returned in the permanent role as Karl.
The final episode of Neighbours is set to air on 1 August.
