Netflix’s Jenna Ortega shares update on Wednesday season 2 on Golden Globes red carpet

Jenna Ortega has spoken out on the next season of Wednesday as she walked the red carpet at the 80th Golden Globes Awards on 10 January.

Arriving at The Beverly Hilton in California, the 20 year old star looked stunning in a soft brown chiffon cut out number, which she paired with several silver necklaces.

A stark contrast to her long black hair in her Netflix series Wednesday, Jenna styled her mane in a shoulder-length 'do with a fringe that she parted from the middle.

With classic black eyeliner and a nude lipstick, Jenna wowed as she made her way down the stretch ahead of the awards ceremony start.

Stopped by journalist Elizabeth Wagmeister, the actress then shared an update on the hit show that's taken the world by storm.

"I know nothing!" she first declared, before explaining: "I feel like sometimes as the actor, you're just told kind of what to do. But I'm waiting on it. I think they're just starting to get a writer's room together. So, maybe soon."

When asked about Lady Gaga doing the viral TikTok dance from the show, Jenna shared her delight.

"It's really strange. I couple of years ago, or a long time ago, I worked with a hairdresser that used to work with her and I had just seen Lady Gaga in concert in Boston a couple of years before," she responded.

"She had made me a video saying, 'Oh hey Jenna, I heard you're a fan,' It was really sweet. I doubt she remembers, but to see her do that now is a moment where you acknowledge life changes really really fast. It's really crazy."

Despite the viral clip, Jenna confessed she has "no contact" with Lady Gaga – but would love for her to feature in Wednesday in the future.

The Golden Globes is making a grand return to screens after taking a break following accusations that organisers, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, had acted unethically and had failed to increase diversity among their members.

This year, the HFPA has expanded its membership and enforced a strict code of conduct among voters. This has led many celebrities to make the decision to attend.

Comedian Jerrod Carmichael is set to host the event, while nominees including Jamie Lee Curtis and Austin Butler will also be in attendance.
