Nine Inch Nails‘ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross recently released their original score for Luca Guadagnino‘s new movie Bones and All.
Bones and All is Guadagnino’s first feature film since 2018’s Suspiria. The romantic horror road film’s screenplay was written by David Kajganich, based on the 2015 novel of the same name by Camille DeAngelis.
The film stars Taylor Russell, Timothée Chalamet, Mark Rylance, Michael Stuhlbarg, André Holland, Chloë Sevigny, David Gordon Green, and Jessica Harper. The story follows a pair of young cannibalistic lovers who flee together on a road trip.
Bones and All had its world premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival on September 2, 2022, where it won the Silver Lion for best direction. It was theatrically released in the United States on November 18, 2022.
Bones and All is the first soundtrack album from Reznor and Ross since December 2020’s Mank, for which the duo received Oscar and Golden Globe nominations. The musicians also scored Sam Mendes‘ upcoming film Empire of Light.
