Addressing her 236,000 followers, the dance champion told how she’s put on weight recently after letting her exercise regime go.

Appearing in costume, as the Wicked Queen, Shirley looked glammed up to the nines as she relayed her news to her fans.

She said: “So those of you who know me know that I like to exercise every day.

“But I haven’t had a chance to do that being in panto and Strictly and one thing and another,” she explained.

The star confessed that after dropping her workout regime, she’d noticed the pounds “creeping on”.

She continued: “So I thought to myself, ‘Ooh, are they a few little pounds there creeping on?

“‘I better watch it, I better watch it,'” she added.

The Strictly star went on to issue a plea to her co-star Harrison Wilde, who is starring as Prince Charming in the production.

Shirley said: “And then Prince Charming just bought these in!” she said while holding up a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

“Do you know what I say? Tomorrow’s another day,” she joked.

She went on: ” I think I’ll start January 1st because they look yummy.

Addressing her co-star Harrison, Shirley said: “So, Prince Charming, please don’t bring me any more doughnuts!”

The star added the caption, “What’s going on with my lipstick lol,” as well as tagging her co-star.

Strictly’s head judge has been enjoying her stint as the Wicked Queen in the festive production.

Shirley isn’t the only dancer to have opened up about their weight gain in recent days.

Strictly finalist John Whaite took to Instagram yesterday to reveal that he put on over a stone while doing the show.

Posting a snap of himself in a towel, John wrote: “Results are in!”

The star added that he doesn’t “regret a single ounce or pound” of the weight he put on over his time on the show.

He defiantly added: “Mental health (and having a b****y good time > aesthetic appeal.”

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is on at the Assembly Hall Theatre, Tunbridge Wells from from December 17 until January 3 2022.
