Old Dominion have announced plans to open a bar/music venue, called Odie’s, in Nashville next year.
Odie’s will be functioning at 1919 Division Street near Red Door and Winners and Losers in the old ReBar location in Nashville’s Midtown area.
The idea was born out of discussions between Old Dominion’s guitarist Trevor Rosen and his friend Ty Hauter, CEO of San Diego-based hospitality and entertainment group Good Time Design.
“We wanted it to be a place where a group of songwriters who might have a band could play, or someone starting out might be able to be part of a writers thing and get heard,” said Rosen. “You know, pay it forward because all these years later, we know it works. That’s much better than just a temple to who we think we are.”
The news of Old Dominion’s collaboration with Good Time Design was announced on the country music band’s Instagram page.
“Midtown has played such a role in the history of our band,” Old Dominion said. “From chilling at the bar after writing, to playing weekly into the wee hours of the morning and even recently playing Whiskey Jam to launch our tour.”
They added, “It’s an important neighborhood for not only upcoming artists and writers but also for locals and visitors who want a good place they know they can go and have a good time. Odie’s will be that neighborhood bar for us all.”
