Chloe Lattanzi breaks down in tears discussing Mum’s legacy
Olivia Newton-John’s daughter Chloe Lattanzi struggled to contain her emotions as she discussed her mother on an Australian breakfast show.
The singer, 37, appeared on Sunrise to discuss her upcoming appearance at Olivia’s Walk for Wellness in Melbourne, an event being held in her mother’s memory.
However, Chloe was left having to pause during the interview as she became overcome with emotion due to the “raw” nature of the interview.
She began: “I’m sorry, it’s still raw for me. People I don’t even know have lifted me up and I have been able to engage with people going through cancer.
“It’s an honour to continue the Walk for Wellness. There isn’t a greater purpose in life than to give to others and when I went through my mental illness I focused on connecting with people who were going through similar pain.”

Chloe then remembered how lovely her mother was during her own breast cancer journey, always making sure to let other patients know they’re not alone.
She continued: “Even when she was at the hardest part of the battle she was still making it about others. The outpouring of people’s love is tangible. It’s still raw for me.”
The 10th annual Olivia Walk for Wellness will take place in Melbourne’s scenic Alexandra Gardens, with participants walking five kilometres to raise money for cancer research.

This comes after Chloe opened up about her own health battle in August, admitting she has been suffering from memory loss since Olivia’s death.
She said in an Instagram video at the time: “I have not been okay. I’ve had extreme memory loss and difficulty getting out of bed. I’ve been neglecting myself.
“One of my mum’s biggest messages was to take care of yourself. So, I’m gonna disappear for about three weeks because I’m developing health issues in my mind and body.”
Chloe is Olivia’s only child and was from her first marriage to actor Matt Latanzi.
The Grease star died at her home in California on August 8 last year following a 20-year battle with breast cancer.
She fought several brave battles against cancer after first being diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992.
Olivia was successfully treated and went into remission but the cancer unfortunately returned in both 2013 and 2017.
