Amanda Owen shared some Christmas snaps as she revealed the family were left without power the day before the festive holiday.
The Our Yorkshire Farm star, 48, updated fans on her Christmas plans to her social media, sharing photos of her farm land covered in a blanket of snow.
She tweeted: "Snow arrived a day late for it to be an official white Christmas.
"Super cold but a rather more pleasant than the vicious wind and driving rain that blighted us on Christmas Day."
However, the pretty scene was preceded by difficulty as Amanda – who shares nine children with her ex Clive Owen, 67 – also revealed that things had not run smoothly over Christmas as they suffered a power cut.
On Christmas Eve, the shepherdess shared a photo of her children overlooking a digger and some tradespeople investigating the farm's underground pipes, while she joked about the “trials and tribulations” of farm life.
Captioning the photos, she explained: “It just wouldn’t be Christmas without there being either no water or no electricity.
"*Cue everyone to stare despondently into a hole in the ground. * Apart from Reuben who is in his element."
Fans were quick to take to the comments and offer Amanda messages of support.
One person wrote: "Goodness me, you really do have a challenging life. Glad Ruben is able to help."
Another wrote: "Hope things improve soon."
A third penned: "Bless Reuben – every family needs one."
A fourth commented: "Hope you get it sorted so you can cook Christmas dinner tomorrow."
Channel 5 recently announced that they would not be renewing Amanda and ex-husband Clive’s show Our Yorkshire Farm, which followed the couple and their nine kids as they ran a farm in Ravenseat.
Questions about the show’s future had been raised afterthe couple announced their decision to split
All is not lost though, as although the original show will be cancelled, Channel 5 have released a spin off, focusing on Clive and his eldest son Reuben.
The new programme is named Beyond The Yorkshire Farm: Reuben & Clive, and sees the pair travelling beyond their farm as they embark on a new digging venture together.
Reuben and Clive are also joined by Reuben's girlfriend Sarah and best pal Tom in the series, which launched on Channel 5 earlier this month.
In June, Amanda and Clive announced their split via a joint statement posted to Amanda's Instagram, which read: "Clive and I are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate.
"This hasn’t been easy, but we both believe it’s the right choice for the future of our family.
"Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together, with our number one priority the happiness and well-being of our children."
