Paul Hollywood has become a married man for the second time, after he and fiancée Melissa Spalding exchanged vows at a Cypriot chapel this week.

Having gotten engaged last year, three years into dating each other, the 57 year old Great British Bake Off judge and the 39 year old pub landlady invited 75 guests (made up of family and friends) to celebrate their union, which took place at the Anassa Hotel of the Akamas peninsula on Wednesday.

A source for MailOnline said: "It was a very tasteful and stylish wedding and the hotel management really pulled out all the stops to make it a memorable day.

"There was a very lively party with loud music and lots of drinking that went on until late into the night. Paul is very close to the hotel owners and they made sure that everybody had a great time.

"He loves Cyprus and it was a wonderful setting for what was a beautiful occasion."

Unsurprisingly, one of the newlyweds' famous pals in attendance was Prue Leith, who appears on Bake Off alongside Paul. The bespectacled 83 year old had reportedly been enjoying the hotel's lavish facilities in the days leading up to the ceremony.

Prior to saying their vows, Paul, Melissa and their nearest and dearest sat down for some grub at the rustic Viklari Castle restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean – the Liverpudlian chef once described it as his favourite eatery in the past.

Paul was previously married to Alexandra Hollywood, whom he shares son Joshua with; the exes eventually filed for divorce (despite reconciling) after his affair with The American Baking Competition's Marcela Valladolid.

Addressing their separation, the 59 year old exclusively told OK! back in 2020: "I am not divorcing my son, so of course I am keeping my surname. I have been Alex Hollywood for 20 years so I am keeping it. 20 years is a long time and I have grown into that.

"Regardless of what people say, 'Oh she's used it for this or that', I don't care it doesn't matter, it’s me, I know who I am. I have come through everything and come out the other end. I am Alex Hollywood.

“There has been a lot of speculation and I have been asked a lot of times about his affairs and partially the affair that broke my marriage. I am getting a divorce and I have cited adultery and he has accepted it," she revealed.

"There’s no two ways about it and it's really sad and I just want to put it to bed. It’s now my time to shine, my time to come out and I’m not saying I don't wish him well, I really hope that he will find happiness I really do because it would be a lot better for everyone concerned."
