Peter Andre has shared a worrying health update as he was seen wearing a face mask whilst visiting his beloved parents in Australia, as he said he 'can't hug his mum'.

The 50 year old Mysterious Girl singer-turned reality star is currently in Australia on a promotional tour, with performances, TV appearances and, of course, family time, under his belt.

But Peter's trip Down Under – where he is originally from – hasn't come without its difficulties, as he revealed that he's gotten ill.

In a picture posted to Instagram, the star was seen wearing a face mask as he enjoyed dinner with his elderly parents, Savvas and Thea.

Pete's eldest son Junior, 18, who he shares with ex Katie Price, 45, joined him on the trip, where they hung out with family and Peter performed to energetic crowds.

Peter has posted plenty about his trip, sharing some images from a lunch that he had with his parents and other family members.

He captioned the post: "Love is not a strong enough word."

But it seems that Peter hasn't been feeling his best during his trip, as he posted about getting sick – meaning that he wasn't even able to hug his mum.

He said: “I feel absolutely wrecked, I started getting sick a couple of days ago and I just feel like I’ve gotten worse. The only thing that’s stressing me out is that I can’t hold my mum, I can’t give her a hug.

Pete added: “I can be outdoors, I can sit within a distance but then to top it off, look at that,” he said, before pointing to a cold sore on his bottom lip.

The dad of four thinks that he’s battling some kind of flu. He ended the video saying: “No one cares.”

Pete's fans flooded the comments with well-wishes, as one said: “Poor Pete – you need a hug from your mum. Hoping you are better soon!!”

A second said: “I know you wish you could hug them tight but they will just be happy they have seen you. Now get that Vit C down you!!!” whilst a third wrote: “Aww Pete. You have waited so long to see your mum and dad and know you been wanting to hug them again and now unfortunately got ill. Hopefully you’ll be back to your normal self in couple of days.”

Despite feeling ill, Peter has managed to perform in front of adoring crowds back in his home country.
