Phillip Schofield has revealed that his recent eye surgery has worked, with the This Morning host being able to see properly for the "first time in years".
The 60 year old underwent life-changing surgery in July in order to help fix his "debilitating" eye condition, which saw the "frustrating floaters" removed from his left eye.
He's been documenting his recovery on Instagram and after recently sharing a selfie showing off his bandage, the TV star has now happily announced that is operation was successful and his eyesight has improve considerably.
Phillip became emotional as he shared the news with his followers online alongside a teary-eyed selfie.
“Still a very dilated right eye BUT 100% floater free in both eyes!!! For the first time in years… a beautiful clear blue sky. Might have just shed a little tear as I looked up into a blemish free blue sky," the dad-of-two excitedly wrote.
Phillip clearly couldn't contain his excitement and he then shared a photo of the clear blue sky, telling his fans he'd "just shed a little tear" due to his improved eyesight.
"Might have just shed a little tear as I looked up into a blemish free blue sky," he wrote alongside a smiling emoji.
Phillip had his first operation back in July, followed by a second in August as he continues to enjoy a break from his This Morning hosting duties.

After sharing the news about his eyesight, he gave his followers a glimpse inside his recovery process as he posted a fun selfie of him wearing a pair of ski goggles while lying in bed.
Phillip explained how he is meant to be sleeping on his back in order to "protect his eye" but he felt there was "no way" he could do that so decided to wear a pair of ski goggles while sleeping.
The star had his first eye surgery back in July, with his second taking place in late August. Posting about his experience in July after his initial surgery, the 60 year old wrote: "Firstly, no part of my treatment and surgery was gifted and I wasn’t asked to post. It is also pioneering and costly.
"It was carried out by Prof Stanga at The Retina Clinic in London. I had Elective limited pars plana vitrectomy surgery. It didn’t hurt! If you have been told ‘just live with them’ that is not necessarily true, I’m sure there are exceptions, but they can be fixed. A full vitrectomy will usually cause a cataract quite soon after, a limited vitrectomy won’t.
"Prof Stanga and his team are leading the field here in the UK in this and other retinal treatments with state of the art equipment and rigorous pre op consultation and post op aftercare."
He then opened up on the issues he's faced with the condition, writing: "These floaters have literally blighted my otherwise brilliant eyesight.
"For the first time in many years, right now, I’m looking at a clear blue sky, it is mood/mind and life changing for me. People who don’t have terrible floaters won’t understand what they do to your head and until now they really haven’t been taken seriously.
"Today I have a blood shot eye that will last 2 weeks and an intense regime of eye drops for a month… but my floaters are 100% gone. I reiterate, this wasn’t in any way gifted and I wasn’t asked to post, but I’m happy to promote British medical innovation.
"Again it is pioneering and expensive, hopefully the more it’s done, the sooner the price will reduce. Hope that answered the many questions I’ve been asked in the last 24 hours xx".
