Piers Morgan, 55, has had a dramatic few weeks since he left Good Morning Britain over his Meghan Markle comments. The presenter left the show after he was told by ITV to either apologise for his remarks to quit his role. Now the outspoken television personality has addressed what’s next for him.
Piers spent five years fronting GMB alongside his co-anchor Susanna Reid.
However, now he’s left the show behind, many viewers have been wondering where they’ll see him next.
Piers addressed this in a new piece, admitting he has “no idea” what will come next.
He said: “People keep asking me what I’m going to do next, and honestly, I have no idea.”
Although the former GMB anchor did joke about a possible new direction for him into politics.
He continued in his Mail on Sunday column: “However, a flower seller on Kensington High Street stopped me today to proclaim: ‘Piers, mate, you should be Prime Minister.
“‘We’d all vote for you. You stand up for what you believe in.’
“Obviously, it’s a crazy idea.
“I mean, who on earth would vote for a polarising, scandalous journalist with a posh name who refuses to apologise for anything…”
During the piece, Piers did also mention how he plans to use his success on GMB to negotiate for a new contract when the time comes.
He penned: “ITV’s share price has plunged by five per cent since news of my departure from GMB broke, valuing me at £250 million, which is £52 million more than the world’s most expensive footballer, Neymar.
“That should come in handy in my future contract negotiations!”

There’s no word yet whether Piers will be joining another news show.
Some viewers have been wondering if he could head to the newly created GB News.
The channel is launching later this year and has already landed stars like Andrew Neil and Simon McCoy.
Piers has not addressed rumours directly but did reference an article talking about a reported bidding war.
The story reported offers had reached £10 million as he was being wooed by both Rupert Murdoch for his new show and GB News.
Piers retweeted the article to his 7.9 million followers, quipping: “Only 10?”
He has also confirmed he will not be going back to GMB following his exit.
The outspoken presenter addressed some petitions fans had signed calling for his return.
Retweeting this, he penned: “I won’t be going back, but thanks to everyone who has signed these petitions.
“Normally, people start petitions to have me fired or deported, so this is a pleasant surprise.”
