Piers Morgan, 56, has vented his frustration at Demi Lovato, 28, after she hit out at a Los Angeles-based frozen yoghurt business. The Bigg Chill was criticised by the singer over the weekend, in a move Piers called “arrogant”.
Piers hit out at Demi over her comments about the small business selling sugar-free products in their shop.
He wrote: “The more this repulsively arrogant woman attacked this lovely little store in her staggeringly unhinged and delusional manner, the more furious I became.
“How dare she try to destroy The Bigg Chill simply for doing its job, one that it does very well to widespread popular acclaim?”
The outspoken former Good Morning Britain presenter then continued in his latest MailOnline opinion column: “Who the hell does Demi Lovato think she is?
“Well, we know who she is now, don’t we… she’s revealed herself to be a horrible piece of work who thinks the middle of a pandemic that has crushed so many small businesses is the perfect time to try to crush yet another, using the full power of her huge social media platform to do it.
“I’ve seen some revolting celebrity behaviour during the covid crisis, but little to rival this for sheer nastiness.”
This all comes after Demi took to her Instagram Stories over the weekend to vent her frustration at the business.
The singer was annoyed it had positioned their “diet foods” at the front of their store.
She wrote: “Finding it extremely hard to order froyo from @thebiggchillofficial when you have to walk past tons of sugar free cookies/other diet foods before you get to the counter.
“‘DO BETTER PLEASE. #DIETCULTUREVULTURES.”
Demi has spoken about having an eating disorder in the past after dealing with bulimia for many years.
Following her post, The Bigg Chill responded to her in a message, which she shared on her Instagram stories as well.

They reportedly wrote: “We are not diet vultures. We cater to all of our customers needs for the past 36 years. (sic)
“We are sorry you found this offensive.”
Demi then replied to them, branding their service as “terrible” and “rude”.
She ended her message saying: “Don’t make excuses, just do better.”
The official account for the shop then took to their own stories to write: “We carry items for Diabetics, Celiac disease, Vegan and of course have many indulgent items as well.”
Piers continued to blast Demi for her comments as he said she had “triggered” him.
He penned: “As I read all this patronising, hectoring, stupendously dumb and bullying bilge, I myself began to feel ‘triggered.’
“The official definition of this increasingly popular woke word is ‘to have an intense emotional or physical reaction, such as a panic attack, after encountering a trigger’.
“Not a day goes by without some celebrity somewhere claiming to feel ‘triggered’ by something, mainly in an attempt to weaponise their victimhood, raise their profile and make money.”
