Princess Charlotte showed off her cheeky side after pulling funny faces during a rare outing with her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The young royal appeared to take inspiration from her little brother Prince Louis, who was the centre of attention just last month at the Queen's Jubilee celebrations thanks to his cheeky behaviour.

Sticking her tongue out and making varying facial expressions, little Charlotte looked like she was having a great time as she joined her parents at the Commonwealth Games for the day.

Wearing a white and navy blue Rachel Riley dress with pleats and braided pigtails, she playfully interacted with her mum, Kate Middleton, who looked chic as ever in an all-white suit.

The Duchess, who is known for her stunning sense of style, paired her ensemble with a white belt, earrings and her brunette tresses in loose curls behind her ears.

The animated princess was also joined by her dad, Prince William, and the family looked in good spirits at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre on day five of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

The seven-year-old kept herself amused as she joined the crowds watching England's 1,500m freestyle hopeful Luke Turley as she sat in between her doting parents on the rare royal outing.

If the adorable princess was not clapping her hands in delight, rolling her years or making a thumbs-up gesture – she was giggling at something her father had said in a touching moment displayed by the pair.

There was no sign of Charlotte's brothers, Prince George and Prince Louis, but that did not stop her from having a whale of a time.

Earlier in the week, Charlotte made an appearance in a clip shared by William to wish England's Lionesses good luck ahead of their historic Wembley win against Germany on Sunday 31 July.

"We both want to wish the Lionesses the best of luck for tonight. You've done amazingly well in the competition and we're rooting for you all the way," William said.

Chiming in, Charlotte then shared: "Good luck, I hope you win. Bye!" as she waved her hand and smiled for the camera.

The official Instagram account for the Lionesses was quick to respond as they commented: "Thank you so much!" with a smiling emoji.
