Earlier this month, the ‘Love and Hip Hop: New York’ star’s daughter Ashley Trowers was arrested in Memphis for allegedly shooting her ex Demiah Tatum, with whom she shares a baby together.
AceShowbiz –Rich Dollaz has further defended his daughter Ashley Trowers, who was previously arrested for shooting her ex Demiah Tatum. Speaking with TMZ, the rapper believed that her daughter did that in self-defense as she had a restraining order against Demiah.
“There was a domestic incident recently, and my daughter was forced to go to the authorities and file for a restraining order,” Rich revealed. “Obviously, anyone who knows anything about a restraining order, you’re not allowed to be in the presence of the other person.”
The “Love & Hip Hop: New York” star went on to say, “So, with that being said, he had no business pulling up to her job, number one. Number two, he had no business getting out of his car and approaching her car.”
During the interview, Rich was also asked what Ashley was so scared about that she fired her weapon at Demiah. “Well, because he was approaching her vehicle. They have already been-this isn’t just a one-time incident. This is things that have led up to this,” the VH1 star explained.
“Him sending text messages, him sending things to her, him showing his gun, him doing things that would put her in fear,” he added.
Rich also shared that he and her daughter still don’t know how Demiah found out about her new job as the incident happened on her first day working at a Kroger. While some suggested that Demiah “just happened to pull up,” Rich didn’t think it was that simple.
Prior to this, Rich admitted that he was “baffled as anyone else.” He also said that he’s “not with Ashley every day” because he lives in Dallas, while her daughter resides in Memphis.
“I don’t condone shooting, I don’t condone violence, I don’t condone any of that,” he continued. “But at the end of the day, I’m never going to be okay with a man putting his hand on my kid, either.”
Ashley, who shares a child with Demiah, was arrested in Memphis for allegedly shooting him. In the arrest docs, Ashley claimed that Demiah and another man named Mykel Yates approached her in a Cadillac ATS around midnight on Tuesday, January 24, her first day working at the gas station.
Ashley said that she ran away after seeing someone in the car trying to get a gun. When they managed to catch up to her, she fired two shots that struck Demiah. Mykel, meanwhile, told police that they were trying to give her some money.
Ashley was taken to Shelby County Jail where she was arrested for aggravated assault before she was released.
