Richard Osman has married Doctor Who actress Ingrid Oliver, sharing the happy news to social media.

The presenter, 52, announced he had married his now-wife Ingrid during a "day full of love and laughter" over the weekend and shared a photo of the couple on their wedding day to social media.

Richard wrote: "The most magical, joyful day on Saturday with my beautiful wife @ingridoliver100. Surrounded by wonderful friends and family, a day full of love and laughter. We're so, so happy."

The quiz show host reportedly met actress Ingrid, 45, at a dinner party two years ago with the couple beginning dating shortly after.

Celebrity friends and followers were quick to congratulate the couple on their marriage in the comments.

Newsnight host Victoria Derbyshire wrote: "A. MAZE. ING. So many congratulations to you both! How wonderful."

Aled Jones wrote: "Congratulations to you both x"
