Riley Curry is a birthday princess. NBA star Stephen Curry and his wife, chef Ayesha Curry, celebrated their oldest child’s 10th birthday on July 19, sharing sentimental tributes and photos of the little girl — who looks so grown up from when she first stole hearts during her dad’s press conferences years ago.
In Ayesha’s Instagram post, Riley wears a pink sweater set with her birthday crown and fun eye sparkles. Ayesha wrote, “And just like that… she’s 10! DOUBLE DIGITS! Howwwwww?! It feels like just yesterday @stephencurry30 and I were two youngins at a hospital in Monroe NC welcoming our first bundle of joy into the world.” The proud mom continued, “Life truly comes at you fast and we had no idea what God had in store for our little family. The days are long and the years are truly short. Simply flying by.”
Ayesha added that “Riley has never stopped surprising us with her many talents, poise, empathic nature, Wit and creative insanely smart brain. We are so proud to be her mommy and daddy. Please, I truly hope these next 10 move like molasses.”
The Golden State Warriors athlete also celebrated his baby girl, noting the date of her birth — July 19, 2012 — in his own Instagram post. “10 years watching you blossom has been the best of the best!” Stephen said. “Now- stop growing up so fast please…..We love you😍 Wayyyyy up she feels blessed!” Stephen and Ayesha are also parents to daughter Ryan, 7, and son Canon, 4.

Riley’s big day comes just ahead of her dad’s big gig as host of the 2022 ESPY Awards. The basketball player admitted that trading in his sneaks for a turn as emcee is a little fear-inducing. “I’m more nervous already just thinking about that vibe,” he told NBA.com about serving as host in front of a crowd of his peers. “Basketball is reactionary and I spend every waking hour thinking about it, practicing and preparing. I’ll do that same preparation for this, but it’s going to be an emotional roller coaster.”
