The One Show’s Ronan Keating has spoken out about how his son Cooper Keating is doing, 24 hours after revealing that he had been rushed to hospital. Talking to his co-presenter Michelle Visage on the popular BBC magazine show, the Irish star told how his four-year-old was feeling “fantastic” after a brief stint in a London hospital yesterday.
He’s great, thank you very much for mentioning it
Welcoming viewers to the show, RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Michelle asked her colleague about Cooper’s condition following his health scare.
She said: “I’ll tell you what, it’s been a very, very busy few days and I hear your son’s been unwell.
“I was reading about that, I hope he’s feeling better?” she asked, concerned.
Replying, Ronan said: “He’s great, thank you very much for mentioning it, he’s fantastic.
“And a massive, massive, thank you to the NHS, they were unbelievable, so fantastic,” he finished, before moving on.
Yesterday Ronan told his 421,000 Instagram followers that his youngest son Cooper had been rushed to hospital.
The Boyzone star admitted that he was “worried sick” about his little boy, but did not reveal what was wrong.
The Irish star shared a photo of his son sitting in his hospital bed, wearing an oxygen mask.
In another snap, Cooper could be seen playing games on an iPad.
Ronan wrote: “Not the 24hrs I had imagined. But ya never know what life has in store.
“This little guy is an absolute Trooper.
“I’m blown away with his strength and charm,” he went on.
Continuing, Ronan told how he and his wife, Storm, weren’t dealing with the situation as well as their four-year-old.
“Mum & Dad are a mess worried sick and he takes it in his stride,” he penned.
“I am so incredibly grateful to the staff @chelwestft you guys rock,” he ended his post.
Ronan’s wife of six years also thanked the NHS in a post for her 132,000 followers to see.
She penned: “48hrs we are happy to see the back of.
“Thank you to everyone for your prayers and well wishes – they worked (!) because our little man is on the mend and on the way home too
“Huge thanks to all the wonderful staff @chelwestft who were simply amazing.
“This mummy is exploding with joy and relief to be bringing @cooper_keating home with daddy,” she finished, alongside a snap of her son cuddling a teddy in hospital.
