Royal Family ‘hugely nervous’ over publication of Prince Harry’s ‘time bomb’ book

The royal family are “hugely nervous” over the release ofPrince Harry’s upcoming memoir, according to royal expert Tom Bower.

He says that the family are particularly nervous about the “time bomb” nature of the upcoming tell-all book penned by the Duke of Sussex.

Despite rumours that Prince Harry“desperately” wants to make changesto his memoir following the death of his grandmother, the lateQueen Elizabeth II, Tom says it may be too late to do so.

He says that the book is still a major concern for the royals, who are worried about the content of Harry’s memoir.

Speaking toPage Six, Tom explained: “I think that everybody knows that the Sussexes can’t amend the book in any way. Can they make it nastier? Because otherwise, we wouldn’t get sales.”

The royal commentator added that there are rumours the book could be released around Easter, and that it will have an added chapter about the Queen’s funeral.

He said: “And there’ll just be more material about how they were snubbed and all the rest of the invective against the Royal Family. So I think to that extent, the delay will add to the poison.”

The Duke andDuchess of Sussexare said to also be having second thoughts about theirhighly-anticipated Netflix documentary.

According to Page Six, the couple want to make “extensive edits” to footage already shot, leaving the entire production in fear of being “shelved indefinitely.”

“Harry and Meghan are having second thoughts on their own story, on their own project,” a Netflix source told the publication.

Another insider is quoted as saying: “Harry and Meghan are panicked about trying to tone down even the most basic language. But it’s their story, from their own mouths.”

Similar comments were also echoed by another source who added: “They’ve made significant requests to walk back content they themselves have provided — to the extent that some Netflix staff believe, if granted, it will effectively shelve the project indefinitely.”

However, Netflix have continued to “stand by the filmmakers” with one insider at the network confirming that the project is still “going forward.”

Although Netflix themselves have never commented on the content of the show, Meghan herself teased a little more about its subject matter in her recent bombshell interview withThe Cutback in August.

She described it as: “The piece of my life I haven’t been able to share, that people haven’t been able to see — our love story.”
