EXCLUSIVE I’m A Celeb winner Sam Thompson and girlfriend Zara McDermott are set to make MILLIONS as TV’s new golden couple
He’s just been crowned King of the Jungle after winning the 2023 series of I’m A Celebrity on Sunday night.
Now Sam Thompson, 31, can look forward to being known as the King of daytime TV, with PR experts predicting that the Made In Chelsea star and his Love Island contestant girlfriend Zara McDermott, 26, are set to become TV’s new golden couple.
Both from reality TV backgrounds, the couple have gone on to earn a whole new host of fans with their recent primetime stints, with Sam seen nightly by viewers on I’m A Celeb, while Zara reached week six on Strictly.
Now the pair have the chance to capitalise on their joint star power, with brand expert Nick Ede predicting the duo will be inundated with offers for reality shows and podcasts.
Nick told MailOnline: ‘With Zara by his side he’s now part of a power couple who I can see making millions from everything from joint podcasts, reality spin off shows following them both.’

This year, Zara, 26, made history as the first Love Island star to feature on Strictly Come Dancing , where she reached week six with partner Graziano Di Prima
Nick added: ‘There is also the chance to do more documentaries like the one he’s done for Channel Four on ADHD and she’s done many for BBC Three.
‘Together they can really power up in many areas. Adverts. Social media campaigns, fashion and fitness, autobiography, charity campaigns and awareness and reality shows too.
‘Sam’s one of this few stars that has fans of all ages and from all walks of life. For Sam the world is his oyster and he’s now well on his way to becoming a household name and I can see him getting national treasure status in the not too distant future.’
The star’s unlikely friendship with boxer Tony Bellew could also prove to be lucrative, with Nick musing: ‘I can see them perhaps doing a road trip old couple style show. Learning about each others lives as they are so different but a great friendship.
‘Perhaps even with Sam’s close friend Pete Wicks, similar to Gino, Fred and Gordon but with those three… this kind of show is great viewing and always very popular’.
Sam’s I’m A Celeb win marks a meteoric rise to fame for the star, who made his name as ‘Louise Thompson’s little brother’ on reality television.
He was the Made In Chelsea joker who only got a role on the E4 series due to his famous older sister.
Compared to his co-stars, including hotel heir Spencer Matthews and Jamie Laing, Sam came from humble beginnings, but the success of his glamorous property developer mum Karen enabled him to go to private school in Berkshire which later gave him the platform to mix with the Chelsea clan alongside his sister Louise.
Following Louise’s breakthrough on Made In Chelsea, Sam joined the cast in 2013, quickly becoming close friends with Jamie, whose great-great-grandfather invented the McVitie’s digestive biscuit.

Class clown Sam quickly becoming a star in his own right, becoming a TikTok sensation alongside girlfriend Zara and best friend Pete Wicks, and is also finally being taken seriously courtesy of the documentary he made about his ADHD and autism diagnosis with Channel 4.
His rise to stardom has seen him appear on a number of reality shows including Celebs Go Dating, Celebrity Big Brother, SAS: Who Dares Wins and Celebrity Coach trip.
He achieved another goal this year, joining the presenting panel on Love Island spin-off show Aftersun alongside host Maya Jama and ex-Islander Indiyah Polack after growing fascinated with the show, which opened doors for his girlfriend.
His fame skyrocketed in recent years because of his hilarious TikTok videos and relationship with Zara who has gone from Love Island contestant to fronting her own BBC documentaries.
This year, Zara made history as the first Love Island star to feature on Strictly Come Dancing, where she reached week six with partner Graziano Di Prima.
Zara rose to fame after appearing on the ITV2 dating show in 2018. However, her first TV debut was in 2009 when her family appeared on the BBC’s Wanted Down Under, which follows Brits considering a move to Australia.
Before finding fame, Zara used to work for the government as an Operational Officer at the Department of Energy and Climate Change from 2015 until 2017.
She went on to work as a policy advisor at the Department for Education before she ventured into reality TV.
After making her Love Island debut, she has gone on to carve out a reality TV career, appearing on The X Factor: Celebrity and Made In Chelsea.
More recently, Zara has turned to working on documentaries and has hosted a string of programmes for the BBC.

In 2021, she fronted a Revenge Porn documentary, which shed light on her two experiences with revenge porn, after explicit images were taken and leaked when she was both 14 and 21.
She has gone on to work on two more documentaries based on her own experiences, Uncovering Rape Culture and Disordered Eating, while she also fronted Gaia: A Death on Dancing Ledge this year.

Their emotional break-up was documented on Made In Chelsea, and she was filmed begging her boyfriend for a second chance, before Sam decided to forgive her and they got back together.
The couple then moved in together in 2021, and their relationship appears to have gone from strength to strength ever since.
As their romance has blossomed so has their star appeal, with the pair bagging millions of social media followers with their funny videos.
And bagging the jungle crown is only going to make Sam an even bigger entity, so much so PR experts believe he could become Made In Chelsea’s most successful export and bank a bumper payday in the process.
Mark Borkowski told MailOnline: ‘Sam projects a lot of energy and he’s certainly getting plenty of airtime. There’s also good will towards him on social media, especially towards his ADHD and autism.
‘I’m A Celeb is a testing ground for celebrities who have big followings on Instagram and TikTok to see whether they resonate with the ITV audience.
‘ITV are in pursuit of viewers that aren’t reliant on linear television so they could be looking to invest in Sam and of course then, the brand deals will follow.
‘He has an effervescent personality and performs for the cameras… he says he is blessed to be on a show like I’m A Celeb because he loves the format as well as Ant and Dec so if he manages to sustain his popularity, he will have a bright future in Showbiz.’

Last month, Zara revealed while Pete was going instead of her even though she was free because of her early exit from Strictly Come Dancing.
The influencer told Fleur East on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show: ‘When I left Strictly I was like “Shall I pack my case?” and he went “Oh no it’s already been arranged Pete is coming”.’
She continued: ‘When I suggested maybe Pete and I could both go, he said, “No, just Pete!” Maybe I can get Pete to take a cardboard cut-out of me … But you know what it’s fine, absolutely fine.
‘I’ve got all the time in the world to live with him and see him. If he wants Pete at the end of that bridge I respect and appreciate that – also I can’t wait to see that hug!’
